MISSION

I’ve sailed around most of the Mediterranean Sea and part of the Atlantic Ocean and have taught people to sail by the wind. Based on my scientific background and experience in the field of Aquatic Ecology, I’ve developed the belief that a sailing boat should be conceived as a “workshop in the making” a place to discuss and practice what and how to achieve the goals set by Agenda2030 ONU.

Sharing a purposeful goal with people from all over the world, ideas, skills and opinions, cooperating in confined spaces, becoming an active crew member, finding smart solutions for reducing disposable plastic and garbage, saving water and energy, educating and spreading a positive message are the focus of the project.

In this particular moment in time, I believe that promoting specially dedicated “female only weeks” and creating the opportunity for women from every walk of life (entrepreneurs, scientists, teachers, artists, athletes, politics, communicators etc) to meet and devise solutions together, not only is fundamental...it is my duty!

I sail for and with anyone who feels a passion for life, I teach those who love searching beyond the horizon, I believe in positivity and aim at doing my share to achieve a healthier environment.
Sail with me, it’s different!

RYA SAILING SCHOOL

As a certified RYA sailing school and training centre, our partner White Wake Sailing offers the whole range of RYA sailing courses, from Competent Crew all the way to Yachtmaster Ocean.

– Have you never been on a boat before, but feel like trying to sail?

– Or maybe you have crewed on other sailing boats and now you would like to become a skipper?

– Have you got your skipper license already, but wish to learn more and get more experience?

At White Wake Sailing we have a course for every level, so you can learn to sail in beautiful Croatia!

RYA SAILING SCHOOL IN CROATIA

Our practical courses take place in Croatia, with our base set in Marina Kremik, Primosten (Croatia), just 30 min drive from the international airport of Split. With regards to the theory part, we run a shorebased centre in Vienna (Austria), and in Milano (Italy).

Our instructors have sailed and taught for thousands of miles and hold the highest qualifications from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA). This is possibly the best and most respected sailing organisation in the world.

As an RYA sailing school, at White Wake Sailing we know that learning to sail can be a bit stressful at the beginning. We follow a strict ‘no-shouting’ policy, so you can feel comfortable and at ease right from the start. You can then learn to sail without stress and at your own pace.

And at the end of an intense sailing day, there is always time for some fun and a swim in the Croatian crystal clear waters. With so many islands and bays to choose from, we are never away from a beautiful spot to drop our anchor. And what best than to celebrate a great sailing day with a cold drink in your hand under the sky? The chirping of crickets will be the only sound to gently accompany you to a well deserved restoring sleep.

ABOUT ME

Hey you! I am Elisa, but friends call me Ecoelisa as I am also a scientist (PhD Ecology), fighting against water pollution! I like to define myself as a life adventurer and explorer of unthinkable connections...I left all behind a few years ago to follow my dreams, sailing and living the sea as much as possible. I became a professional skipper sailing around Canary Islands for three months, got my RYA Ocean YachtMaster qualification in Cape Town and I am now a professional RYA Sailing Instructor. Always hungry for dreams and adventures, I sailed more than 15 K miles so far across Mediterranean sea and Atlantic Ocean.
